The irony of democracy in India is that the common man is always at the receiving end of injustice. Hazare enjoys people's support because he has done the impossible by making the demands. But recent developments have raised doubts over the passage of the Bill. The UPA is trying its best to deflect Hazare and its aides. The unfortunate result is that the focus has shifted from both the Bill as well as the issue of corruption.
