Ad-ing little value


This refer to Shalini Singh's article who made that darn ad (People and Journeys, July 24). It is fact that ad makers just copy the ads made in the west, with little thought about the Indian market. Women are portrayed as sex objects, with most ads featuring them in skimpy outfits. Both manufacturers of products and ad makers take the easy way out in order to gain cheap publicity.
