Primary problems

With reference to the report Quota bill gets Lok Sabha nod (December 15), instead of providing reservation in higher studies, the Government should change its policy on education. It should focus on providing quality education at the primary level. The primary education is in a bad shape. This hinders the prospects of students from backward classes from reaching higher levels. If the base at the primary level is strong, there will be no need for reservation in higher education.
