Apropos of your edit, 'Amend office of profit bill' (ET, June 1), the President has given the right signal to the MPs to behave and act in such a way to keep the dignity of Parliament. They have been elected to represent the people and should shun saving their skin by indulging in profit making activities.
The MPs should amend the bill to respect the wishes of the President and should not force the President to stamp it in their favour. They should sacrifice their own monetary gains to clean the politics. No one can serve the Nation and self simultaneously. Every MP should adopt the motto of service above self.
