Public protest

Pritish Nandy's advice to stop paying taxes is ridiculous. The taxes we pay go into nation building. If taxes collected from Mumbai are spent in developing remote areas, Mumbaikers should be happy. It is true that the Maharashtra government did not come to their rescue in the recent floods. Rather than refusing to pay taxes, Mumbaikers should express their anger and disappointment by boycotting their elected representatives and demanding fresh elections.
