Sania Mirza’s doubles title at Wimbledon is remarkable and laudable (“Net Gains”, July 21). She is following in the footsteps of Mahesh Bhupati and Leander Paes. Critics must see the limitations in Indian sports and lack of government supports. Titles or age do not matter. It is true that girls her age in the West are competing and winning at senior levels. However, the most remarkable thing is that she has kept Indian flag flying in the international arena.
