Slums in all parts of the city should be removed. Most of these are gifts of our politicians, who encourage and set up slums on government land meant for community services. This hampers the growth of the area and make it dirty, besides making hindrance to public services. They should be relocated to the outskirts of the city I a colony. It will serve the twin purpose of providing basic amenities to all as well improving the living status of the city and country. With the improved status we can attract foreign tourists and even valuable foreign exchange in the long run.
